Michelle Fairley is Joining the Bridgerton World

There is a Bridgerton spinoff coming our way!
Netflix is creating a spinoff of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton. Created by Shonda Rhimes, it is one of the most successful shows Netflix has produced. A limited spinoff series chronicling the life of a young Queen Charlotte, called Jewels, will be released soon.

Netflix has yet to release an official title, but the name “Jewels” has been used in internal documents referring to the show.


According to the official show synopsis, centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

Princess Augusta

Michelle Fairley plays Princess Augusta.


According to the official show character description, Princess Augusta is  determined to maintain her family’s power, the Dowager Princess does what it takes to secure her son’s place as monarch amidst a changing, modernizing Britain.

Michelle Fairley was most recently seen playing the lead roles of Marion Wallace in Gangs of London for HBO/Sky Atlantic and Kerry Stephens in the BAFTA nominated Responsible Child for the BBC as well as starring in the BAFTA nominated short film, The Trap, directed by Lena Headey.


Game of Thrones


She was cast in HBO’s Game of Thrones as Catelyn Stark, a role for which she won an IFTA.


Other Works

Michelle appeared in Harry Potter as Hermione Granger’s mother. She also played Ava Hessington in Suits and Margot Al-Harazi in 24: Live Another Day.
