Movie selection is as personal as selecting a dish from a restaurant menu. What genre does one like? Suspense with a twist of comedy? Or perhaps horror with a touch of romance? Genre isn’t enough to make a movie great. 

Starting with an absolute delight in a magical fairytale world, Shrek, an ogre, agrees to retrieve Princess Fiona from a castle guarded by a dragon for Lord Farquaad. In return, Lord Farquaad would give his swamp back. Little did Shrek know he would fall in love with the princess on the way.

Shrek (2001)

An all-time classic, our list would not be complete without Godfather. Based on Mario Puzo’s novel, the storyline focuses on an Italian-American mob family. Don Vito Corleone, the head of the family, hands over the empire to Micheal, his youngest son.

Godfather (1972)

One of the most heartfelt movies yet to be made. American sweetheart Tom Hanks takes up the role of Forrest Gump, a man with a low IQ but a big heart who remembers his early years and the critical historical events that unfolded.

Edward Norton, a white-collar man suffering from depression and insomnia, meets Tyler Durden, a soap salesman. Unhappy and miserable from the capitalist lifestyle, they form an underground fight club as an escape for the everyday man.

Fight Club (1999)

This movie has outstanding casting. Set in the year 1858, Django, an African slave, is freed by a German bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz.
