A lot of the negativity that is thrown at her is because of her character in Bridegrton, Penelope Featherington’s actions.

She posted a video of herself next to a comment that someone had written to her online.

In the clip, she asks fans to remember that she is an actor and, as such, only acts what the script tells her to act.

She is not her character! “Please be nice to me,” she ends.
