Corey Mylchreest plays Young King George in Bridgerton Prequel

There is a Bridgerton spinoff coming our way!


Netflix is creating a spinoff of the hit Netflix series Bridgerton. Created by Shonda Rhimes, it is one of the most successful shows Netflix has produced. In addition, a limited spinoff series chronicling the life of a young Queen Charlotte, called Jewels, will be released soon.



Netflix has yet to release an official title, but the name “Jewels” has been used in internal documents referring to the show.


According to the official show synopsis, centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.

According to the official show character description, Handsome, charismatic, and a bit of a mystery, George has always bowed to the restraints placed on him as the Crown. Until now. Having to share his space and bed with his new wife forces George to face his hidden demons head-on.

Corey Mylchreest is a relatively new actor, most recently known for his part in Netflix’s Sandman.


Previous credits include Midsummer Night’s Dream with New Forest Open Theatre, Romeo and Juliet with New Forest Open Air Theatre, and the short film Mars.
