Netflix has produced some of the best and some of the worst shows, which will make you wonder what went wrong. While many of their shows are well-produced and executed, some fail to hit the mark. With such massive content being sent out, not every series can be a hit.
There are some Netflix Original Shows you should never think about watching. If you value your time, energy, and brainpower, avoid watching these shows at all costs. Trust me.
1. Emily In Paris

There is a love-it-or-hate-it relationship with Emily in Paris, and rightly so. If you take the show at face value, the pretty shots and stylish outfits make the series look better than it is. But diving deeper into it will make you realize that the outdated humor coupled with using the age-old French stereotypes make it feel muddy.
2. Hoops

Hoops is an animated basketball series that feels like it’s trying to be Rick and Morty, yet it isn’t. The entire show relies on profanity, and you won’t go for five seconds without hearing someone swear in the show. It relies on using swear words to hook its audience instead of humor that will make you laugh. Just because you’re swearing doesn’t mean you’re funny.Â
3. Haters Back Off!

While many shows have protagonists that make the audience hate them, Haters Back Off, starring Miranda Sings, is not relatable. The unlikeable character is just not realistic, and you’re never able to connect to the story because of it. The series is just not funny, and the situations feel sad and horrifying compared to what they’re meant to be.
4. Real Rob

Real Rob is a mockumentary reality TV show that lacks luster. Schneider has been in the hot seat due to his controversial array of shows, which are highly problematic. But even his fans were disappointed by Real Rob because of its dated content and jokes that missed the mark. We don’t want to see the world through Rob’s eyes.Â
5. Pretty Smart

While Pretty Smart perfectly emulated an early 2000s sitcom, it did not fare well with the audience. Chelsea was dumped by her boyfriend and moved in with Claire and her roommates. The story has a handsome dumb man, a thick-skinned girl, and a best friend to add the spice; however, the format and content felt recycled and didn’t add anything new to make it enjoyable.
6. Super Drags

The show’s premise is fascinating, with many co-workers working together in the morning and fighting crime as superhero drag queens at night. This could have been a phenomenal storyline if it was executed better. However, with no character progression, limited episodes, and heavy reliance on stereotypes, Netflix failed to deliver.Â
7. The Mist

The Mist is based on Stephen King’s bone-chilling epic horror fiction that makes you want to continue reading until it’s over. However, the Netflix adaptation could not live up to the actual novella. The show lacked suspense and horror and seemed like any other thriller on the platform. Fans were disappointed as significant milestones in the book were left out of the show.
8. Chelsea

Netflix wanted to reinvent the talk show wheel with Chelsea, but it was just a reminder of why talk shows are a thing of the past. It felt like they were just trying to promote their other shows using this one, and the humor really did not make anyone laugh. This felt more like an experimental series Netflix wanted to dabble in than an actual show.
9. S*** Beasts

For reality TV lovers, S*** Beasts was a complete letdown. Netflix usually does a solid job at executing reality shows like Too Hot To Handle and Love Is Blind; however, somehow, they thought putting singles in animal costumes and then sending them to date was a great idea. The entire point of reality TV is to see attractive people do dumb things.
10. Chasing Cameron

People seem to hate Chasing Cameron passionately, and we can’t help but agree. The show did not land the intended target audience, and the characters were too spoilt to be relatable to anyone. It was about a bunch of viners who wanted to make money from their good looks and came off as way too self-important.
11. Iron Fist

Marvel has produced hits after hits, but Iron Fist wasn’t one of them. The Netlfix-Marvel mix should have been mind-blowing, but instead, the show had flat characters and boring action, and it couldn’t keep the audience hooked for more than five minutes. The second season was slightly better, but it wasn’t what you’d expect these two giants to make together.Â
12. Prank Encounters

This hidden-camera television series starring Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo is outdated. The same old format where the main lead scares people from the audience with horror-themed pranks ended a while ago, so there was no point in bringing it back. Even Gatens fans were not able to make themselves support the show.Â
13. Gypsy

Gypsy is a psychological thriller series with great actors and a spectacular production team; however, it was still extremely disappointing. The problem wasn’t just the bland storyline; it was just a watered-down version of an amalgamation of different shows that couldn’t come across as intended. They had all the parts but couldn’t assemble the piece.Â
14. Blockbuster

Starring Melissa Fumero from one of the greatest comedy hits, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, fans had high hopes for this work-related sitcom. The show centers around a manager trying to keep his video store open; however, the use of old troupes that are now irrelevant makes the comedy series feel flat and dull. The plot was too messy and was a letdown for Melissa’s fans.Â
15. The I-Land

I-Land is about a group of individuals who end up in a desert without having any recollection of how they got here in the first place. We later discover that they’re criminals thrown into a virtual simulation experiment.
The idea of the show is cliche, but it could have still been saved if everything else was up to the mark. However, the series was way too dramatized to develop character-audience relationships.Â
16. Richie Rich

Richie Rich has been etched in our hearts because of its significance in our childhoods; however, when Netflix decided to bring it back, it did not do well. The show tried to target nostalgia, but people just don’t want to see a show about a rich boy anymore. Some things are better left in the past.Â
17. Girlboss

Girlboss is based on the story of Sophia Amoruso, who became a millionaire through her fashion brand Nasty Gal. The show is a scripted comedy series that has the most annoying protagonist you could ever think of. Instead of being funny, you feel frustrated and irritated because the main character is so spoilt and full of herself. It’s tough to see beyond the protagonist.Â
18. Hype House

When I say the worst, I mean the worst TV series Netlfix could ever have produced is The Hype House. While trying to cater to the YouTube audience, they did not realize just how boring, basic, and downright terrible the show could be. Filming the lives of a bunch of entitled social media brats does not make for a good series.Â
19. Cooked

Netflix likes to dabble in different genres, but Cooked couldn’t hit the spot. The show is a documentary series that follows host Michael Pollan, who explores how cooking relates to significant environmental and health problems. While this sounds like it would make for exciting content, the execution was less than sub-par, causing major disappointment.
20. The Goop Lab

Featuring Gwyneth Paltrow and her employees, The Goop Lab has been under scrutiny for its content. The series explores alternate medicine methods, with each episode focusing on a different topic, such as anti-aging, etc. Goop, the company, has been criticized for spreading misinformation that isn’t backed by actual science, so Netflix should’ve never made this show in the first place.Â
