When Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington in Netflix’s hit series Bridgerton, posted a story on Instagram using a mirror emoji, her fans went wild.
The post was posted as a story and has since been deleted. Still, the mirror emoji and theme keep coming up in fan posts, especially related to Bridgerton Season 3, featuring Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s love story.

What does this all mean? What are fans hoping to see in Season 3? What is the mirror scene in Bridgerton?
Well, the mirror references a line by Colin Bridegrton in the 4th book of the Bridgerton book series, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton.
Colin and Penelope are together in the scene, and “His lips found her ear and his voice dropped to a whisper. “And I want to do it in front of a mirror.”
This short line is referred to as The Romancing Mr. Bridgerton Mirror Scene, and although it only is a few words long, fans would love to see it on screen.
Fans eagerly look forward to seeing this play out on the screen in whatever form it takes.

Of course, we don’t know what exactly we will see in Season 3 or if we will see this at all, but Nicola has certainly been dropping hints!

Each Bridgerton Season has had a specific emoji that the creators and fans use to promote the show. Season 1 was a bee (the overall emoji for the Bridgerton show), and Season 2 had Pall Mall sticks. Currently, many Bridgerton fans are using the mirror emoji in posts about Season 3. We don’t know what the emoji for Season 3 will be, but fans are hoping it will be a Polin mirror!

Bridgerton Season 3 Is Officially in Production!
Netflix officially announced that Bridgerton Season 3 is in production. They released a video on their official Twitter account showing different cast members holding up three fingers.
The final shot is of Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) standing in front of a horse and carriage, holding up three fingers.
He then opens the carriage door to reveal Nicola Coughlin (Penelope Feathrington) sitting inside, who announces that Bridgerton Season 3 is officially in production.
