Good thing there is another show with the same idea- and with the gorgeous period costumes and locations to boot.

The Buccaneers
“The Buccaneers” is streaming on Apple TV, and it’s Apple’s bid to join the Bridgerton phenomenon. It’s a modern take on an old story.
Apple TV’s newest period drama sucks you into the drama as we follow American girls who head to England to find husbands. This show is based on a novel by the same name, Edith Wharton, but it deviates quite strongly from the book. It’s the story of the Dollar Princesses- like Gladys Russell- when they go to England.
It’s fun, it’s modern, the music is familiar, and the stories are great. If you are a period drama purist, then this show is not for you. But if you love the vibe, then grab a snack and come watch!
