Bridgerton Director, Tom Verica, Announces Official Wrap on Bridgerton Prequel

It’s a wrap!

 

Tom Verica, Bridgerton director, has officially announced the wrap of the Bridgerton Prequel featuring Queen Charlotte in a Twitter post.

 

India Amarteifio, who plays Young Queen Charlotte, announced her last day of filming last week.

A few things to note…

 

Tom Verica posted that “Queen Charlotte” is finished filming. Is that the name of the show? We know that internal show documents used the name “Jewels” to describe the show, but that has never been confirmed.

 

We do know that Shonda Rhimes will be presenting an early clip at Netflix’s TUDUM event on September 26th. Hopefully, at TUDUM we will be getting an official show name and a release date for the Bridgerton prequel.

 

With filming finishing now, can we be on track for an early 2023 release?

 

We certainly hope so!
