Fan Demands: Bring Back These 21 TV Shows, Please!

Movies are a few hours long, and you can see everything in the plot come together in time. But with TV series, the stories and storylines are more detailed and span over a few episodes, if not seasons.

The worst thing that could happen here is TV shows ending before the plot is completed or shows ending way too soon. There are many such shows that viewers wish would come back!

1. Mindhunter (2017-2019)

Mindhunter is a thriller series about FBI agents who must understand how criminals think to catch them. Many people loved the show and eagerly waited to see how the newly introduced story of the psycho killer would be wrapped up. However, everyone was disappointed that the story was incomplete, as the show never got a third season.

2. Dead Like Me (2003-2004)

This TV show is a thriller, drama, and fiction story that some people might find unrealistic and stupid, but others consider it exciting fiction. There are elements of comedy, so the show is watched and loved by many. Sadly, the show ended after two seasons, despite fans being hooked and thinking it was fantastic.

3. Pushing Daisies (2007-2009)

This one is another drama show that saw its end after only two seasons despite a huge fan following. According to viewers, it was a beautiful show that got done dirty, and rumor has it that there were a couple of episodes filmed that either did not air or aired too late. However, some viewers were somewhat satisfied with the ending after watching them.

Sadly, Freaks and Geeks ended after only one successful airing season. It was an American comedy-drama series that fans wished to continue if not brought back. Overall, the show was binge-worthy, and some fans claim that after it ended, it truly felt like they had lost some good friends.

5. Flight of the Conchords (2007-2009)

A sitcom based on the life of two rock band members and their move to New York. This show was a hilarious jumble of strange new experiences and comedy along the way, which fans loved. The show’s soundtrack was even more loved, so fans often say one song will pop up in their heads. People were devastated when the show ended so soon.

6. Teen Titans (2003-2006)

An animated, action-fiction show about a team of superheroes responsible for saving Earth. Though the show lasted five seasons, it ended abruptly without giving proper conclusions to so many storylines. That angered many fans; as they say, it may have been the worst ending to a show ever. It was worse than a cliffhanger for some.

7. Better Off Ted (2009-2010)

Better Off Ted was a hilarious show based on a company where nothing was impossible, including turning humans into popsicles. Fans reminisce the show was way ahead of its time and was super underrated, unfortunately. It also ended so soon, something many people were disappointed in.

8. Gargoyles (1994-1997)

The original Gargoyles TV show was an animated sci-fi show with three seasons. However, some say the show never got its proper third season and was left hanging abruptly. But there were rumors that a live-action version was in the making. Still, sadly, it will not be an animated version, much to everyone’s disappointment.

It was a drama show with only two seasons because there were rumors that the show’s ratings were dropping fast, and it was more costly to continue making more seasons. The show had its dedicated viewers, but more was needed to see through the seven-season story arc the showrunner had already mapped out. Now that’s a bummer!

GUTS was a game show which was massively loved by its audiences. The show consisted of competitors participating in physical challenges in different play areas. Game shows were a staple back in the 90s, so many people, including this one, miss them. So, for a trip down memory lane and to promote activeness in children today, we would all love to see them return.

11. Firefly (2002-2003)

Firefly was a science-fiction show set 500 years ago that showed the aftermath of a universal civil war. According to fans, the show almost had a cult-type following back in the day, but it ended after only one season. People would love to see it return, but not as a reboot; they would prefer it if they started the show where they left it.

Inside Job is the story of a genius who, along with her team, works to hide the world’s biggest conspiracies. It was an exciting show that many people found interesting. Still, fans say it was like the biggest crime when the announcement came out that Netflix had canceled the show. Some say they were literally heartbroken to hear the news after randomly binging the show and being deeply invested in it.

13. Santa Clarita Diet (2017-2019)

A horror show starring Drew Barrymore, the show only lasted three seasons. Because rumor has it, Netflix dropped it due to their cost-plus budget model. Regular viewers say they still want to see the end of Mr. Ball Legs’ story, adding that one more season would have perfectly wrapped the series up, yet it ended on a cliffhanger.

14. The Last Man on Earth (2015-2018)

This was an American comedy sitcom based on a man’s search for survivors after a deadly virus wiped out the entire population. Dedicated fans say that the show was severely underrated and that it is sad that real fans will never get to know the conclusion of the cliffhanger. The news was undoubtedly heartbreaking.

15. Stargate (1997-2007)

Stargate was fortunate enough to get ten seasons; every fan had a different favorite season. But overall, the entire franchise was loved by many, and many would still like to see it come back on screens. The show is their absolute favorite for many people, and they believe they will never grow tired of it. For others, they were impressed by the universe-building throughout the show.

16. Altered Carbon (2018-2020)

It’s a drama series with only two seasons but a good fan following. Though the fans loved the show, there is a divide amongst the fans where some say that season 2 fell short of the flawless first season. Apparently, it was so bad that some people could not bear to finish season 2 while they believed the season was the best TV sci-fi ever.

17. Anne With An E (2017-2019)

This popular Netflix show was based on the novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. There were already a lot of book fans in love with the show, and then more joined in because of how peaceful and cathartic the show is. However, fans were disappointed to know it was canceled after season three as the storyline shuffled closer to the story of Canada’s indigenous tribes.

18. My Name Is Earl (2005-2009)

This sitcom follows the story of a petty criminal named Earl. Earl gets lucky and wins a crazy amount of money as a lottery prize, but he misplaces the ticket. Then, to end his bad luck, he goes out to erase all his evil deeds. It is a beautiful and thought-provoking story that users were eager to see play out. Sadly, it ended way before the people wanted it, leaving them hanging.

19. The OA (2016-2019)

The OA is a sci-fi story that lasted two seasons before being canceled. The story had a lot of potential to play out in any way while being awesome at the same time. However, the unpopular opinion is that while season one was excellent, the following season was all over the place and has become slightly pretentious. So, some fans were glad no more seasons came out.

20. Merlin (2008-2012)

The Merlin TV series was based on the life of the legendary sorcerer. The series was based on this lore and had a dedicated fan base worldwide. Some people believe that despite the canon lore aspect, they were unsatisfied with how the show ended. Other people do not think like that and are simply enjoying the bad CGI of the early episodes. It was another drama series that lasted for merely two seasons, much to the disappointment of its fanbase. When the announcement of its cancellation was posted, many fans were outraged. The show was terrific and well-loved, but by choosing to end it after two seasons, the creators left a lot of questions unanswered, which obviously angered many people.
