12 of the Best TV Shows That You Can Watch in One Sitting

Ready for a binge watch? These are the best TV shows that you can watch in one sitting – if you’re brave enough, that is. So set aside a day or weekend where you do absolutely nothing while watching one of these awesome shows.

Of course, binge-watching is only fun when the show is good so we rounded up 12 series that you’ll actually want to watch in one sitting. Go stock up on some snacks, put your phone on silent, and get ready to relax with some great TV.

Stranger Things (Season 1)

I definitely binged this one when I finally caved and watched Stranger Things. While I personally didn’t do it in one sitting, I definitely wanted to – the show does a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat.

The Queen’s Gambit

OK, a chance at redemption for my one-sitting TV show watching: I know I’m not the only one who binged this entire mini series the weekend it came out. The pacing is so good it’s hard to choose a point to stop watching so you might as well just hit “next episode” until it’s done.

Silo

After watching this one week to week while it aired I’m envious of anyone who can watch Silo in one sitting. It’s really good, but not having to wait after each cliffhanger sounds even better.

Prison Break (Season 1)

You can pretty much stop watching after the first season if you don’t want to be disappointed. Even though the show doesn’t hold up as it continues, the initial season is fantastic and binge-worthy so you might want to check it out.

Haunting of Hill House

Spooky can be any time of year but this would make an exceptionally good one-sitting watch close to Halloween. Since it’s a miniseries Haunting of Hill House doesn’t have a lot of filler meaning every episode is a thrilling (and sometimes terrifying) watch.

Chernobyl

Mini series are probably the perfect choice when it comes to TV shows to watch in one sitting. Thankfully for you, Chernobyl is the creme de la creme of amazing TV. If you happened to miss it when it came out then there’s no time like the present to marathon this amazing show.

Community

You probably won’t get through all of Community in one sitting but you can definitely take in a season or two of this hilarious comedy. Great if you need a pick-me-up!

Tiger King

I’m pretty sure most of us binged this in one sitting during lockdowns but if you happened to skip it the first season is just as chaotically gripping now as it was when the series dropped. Love or hate him, it’s hard to stop watching Tiger King once you start.

Mare of Easttown

This limited series follows a police officer investigating a murder in a small town. As the viewer you’ll get to enjoy the events unfolding alongside the cop – making Mare of Easttown gripping from start to finish.

Firefly

We’re all sad that this series is so easy to watch in one sitting because it ended way too soon, but at least you can see for yourself what all the hype is about. Don’t forget to make time for Serenity (the movie) after so you can see the story ends.

House of the Dragon

If you liked Game of Thrones (and even if you didn’t enjoy it), House of the Dragon is a must-watch. Assuming you skipped this series when it was airing you can now marathon the entire first season in one sitting. Lucky you!

That 90s Show

It’s hard to believe that 20 years has passed since That 70s Show came out and we’re now reminiscing about the 90s in the same way… Great way to make me feel old. Anyway, this show is cute and funny – perfect for a one sitting marathon to life your spirits.
