It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

This one is pretty popular but there’s still a lot of folks who haven’t checked out It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Featuring a cast of hilariously awful characters, their antics are both funny and shocking… Which makes for great TV.

Jury Duty

This one has kind of Truman Show vibes, but in a funnier way. Everyone on the jury is an actor except the main character – who seriously thinks the case is real.

Malcolm in the Middle

If you’re younger you might have missed this hilarious 2000s sitcom entirely, or at least didn’t appreciate it in full if you watched it as a kid. Even after all these years, though, Malcolm in the Middle holds up well and is still perfect to throw on for a laugh.

Arrested Development

The new episodes aren’t as funny but the original run of Arrested Development is totally worth checking out if you haven’t seen it. Plus you’ll be in the loop on so many memes!

Set in small town Ontario (Canada), Letterkenny follows a group of farmer friends and their various antics. If you grew up in a similar community you’ll definitely appreciate seeing all the stereotypical archetypes that appear in every small town featured here, plus enough wit and comedy to make you laugh out loud.

It’s also incredibly quotable, which I love.

The IT Crowd

Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Anyone who works in IT will immediately relate to this show, but if you’ve ever dealt with IT you’ll also find this one hilarious. Actually, everyone will find The IT Crowd funny if they enjoy British humor.

Working Moms

Another Canadian made comedy for this list, Working Moms follows a group of mom friends who are all in different careers. Not only is it funny, it’s also nice to see this part of society featured in a sitcom for a change.

Parks and Recreation

This is one of those rare times you have to take my (and everyone else’s) word for it that it gets better after the first season. If you gave up watching because you thought it was bad or missed this show entirely give it a shot – it’s good!

The Good Place

The Good Place often comes up as one of the best comedy series ever made, but so many folks skipped it or dropped off during season 1 because it was marketed as a different show than it actually was. Not only is The Good Place funny, it’s good throughout all four seasons.

What We Do in the Shadows

If you like mockumentary style shows like The Office then you’re going to love What We Do in the Shadows. It stars a group of vampires as they go about their daily lives. As you might expect, the daily lives of vampires is anything but ordinary. It also happens to be hilarious.

The Righteous Gemstones

This HBO show doesn’t seem to get the credit it deserves for being a consistently strong comedy show. If you want something that’s less sitcom and more black comedy, definitely add The Righteous Gemstones to your streaming list.

Dave is the funniest show that no one is talking about so we’re giving it the praise it deserves! I mean really, what’s funnier than a man who is convinced he’s destined to be the greatest rapper in the world? Even better; it’s actually based on a true story.
