A Netflix original, what makes The Queen’s Gambit so good is that it’s a miniseries. Beth, the main character, is a chess prodigy – and it follows her rise to becoming a Grandmaster.

Just be aware before you go into this hit show that every episode is a different storyline. With that out of the way, Black Mirror is great if you like shows that leave you feeling unsettled and thinking about the episode long after it’s over.

Narcos

Great for fans of shows like Breaking Bad, Narcos was a pretty popular show retelling some parts of Pablo Escobar’s life. It also stars Pablo Pascal so if you like that actor definitely check out this series on Netflix.

A great zombie show for people who want to get that kind of story without having to commit to multi-season shows like The Walking Dead. It’s a spinoff of the horror series Z Nation but you don’t need to have seen the original to enjoy Black Summer.

Ozark
